La Cala (Malaga-Spain)

La Cala Resort is one of the largest and most exclusive resorts in Southern Europe in the well renowned Costa Del Sol region (AKA “Costa del Golf”). With three 18-hole golf courses. The Campo America Course is perhaps more difficult than the shorter Campo Asia but both demand great accuracy from the tee and meticulously club selection. Meanwhile, the third golf course, Campo Europa, uses the River Ojen in making the course distinctive. Three superb championship courses, each presenting its own unique challenges, carefully maintained to ensure they are playable all year round. The layout allows for plenty of water hazards, and offer different challenges to all levels of golfers and demand good course management in addition to a wide variety of shots. This state-of-the-art complex was designed by the famous landscape architect Cabell B. Robinson. (Robert Trent Jones was his teacher and mentor).

It´s not necessarily all about golf either as guests and residents can enjoy a variety of activities to include horse riding, hiking along nature trails, mountain biking, tennis and more. The resort has its very own professional football pitch and water skiing, sailing, kite surfing, scuba diving and canyoning are all available in the locality.  And in the winter season you can even take a one day round trip to the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, which is just 2 hours and 30 minutes away from La Cala.
